Mud Morganfield is the new star in the world of Blues music with an enviable bloodline. The eldest son of the legendary Muddy Waters, Mud was brought up surrounded by many of the finest musicians in the Blues. Mud’s singing is firmly in best of traditions of Chicago Blues, but he is also a writer of great new songs and he is backed by some of the best musicians playing today. He is acclaimed by both critics and artists such as Buddy Guy and his own half-brother, Big Bill Morganfield, for his own musical ability. Mud was nominated in the Best Album and the Traditional Blues Male Artist Album at the 2013 Blues Foundation Blues Music Awards. Get your tickets early for what promises to be one of the classic concerts of the year.
Doors open 7.30pm but our Picturehouse Cafe Bar is open from 5.30pm to sample our beautiful beery delights. Traditional steak & ale and cheese and onion pasties served with red cabbage will be available too.
