  • Friday | 22.07.16
  • 7.30pm
  • Band on the Wall, Manchester

A full weekend of Beer ’n’ Blues. We present the finest artists the UK’s blues scene has to offer together with a 20 pump bar featuring brews from local breweries such as Wilson Potter, Seven Brothers, First Chop, Green Mill Brewery and Marston’s.

Making his name early on as an icon with the six-piece R&B the Southside Stompers, Big Boy Bloater has proven himself to be one of the finest guitarist and performers of his generation and has drawn praise from his contemporaries for his powerful voice and dynamic and instantly recognisable guitar style with luminaries such as Imelda May who has confessed to being a “massive fan”, Jools Holland has declared him “one of the great bluesmen of our time” and Mark Lamarr who personally funded a vinyl run of the single Whammy just so he could have a copy.

Big Boy Bloater has performed alongside Carl Perkins, Wanda Jackson, Paul McCartney, Imelda May, Paloma Faith, Snowboy, The Boomtown Rats, Jim Jones Revue and more.

Big Boy Bloater and The LiMiTs are:

Big Boy Bloater – Vocals/Guitar
Matt Cowley – Drums
