Dean has been a featured soloist with the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra, BBC Big Band, Alan Barnes Octet and many others. His most recent success came with the critically acclaimed 2025 album “Songs With My Father”, in collaboration with his daughter, vocalist Emily Masser. He was also the lead voice on the legendary Jack Parnell Quartet album “Live at Ronnie’s” as early as 1992.

Dean’s duo partner Richard Wetherall has been a leading light in the Manchester jazz scene for nearly 25 years. Well known for his international collaborations with artists like Bobby Wellins, Alan Skidmore, and Neil Yates, as well as fronting his own trio and quartet.
