Hey! Manchester and Now Wave present BC Camplight.

Philadelphian turned Mancunian BC Camplight (Brian Christinzio) was banned from the UK last January on the eve of releasing what should have been one of the most celebrated records in recent years. How To Die In The North (Bella Union) was praised as a bold maniacal psych masterpiece which showcased Christinzio’s singular twisted talents for genre-melding songwriting and psychoactive production.

However, the country-less Christinzio was forced to watch the ill-fated campaign deteriorate from the sidelines following his expulsion from his home and most supportive territory. Despite continuing to tour in America and mainland Europe, Brian felt the spirit of the record left him when he left his beloved adopted home town. But now the former War On Drugs live member turned rogue cult figure is coming home.

Anyone who has seen BC Camplight on stage will tell you this prodigious live experience should not be missed. Full Dates for BC Camplight’s ‘Band in the UK’ tour will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Picturehouse Cafe Bar is open beforehand for delicious food and drinks.
