Straight from the sequined backstreets of the New York underground music scene, songwriter, performance artist, one-time circus sideshow veteran and classically trained harpist Baby Dee is a true original with the credentials to match. A one-time member of Anthony and the Johnsons, who’s toured with Marc Almond, Current 93 and the Sex Pistols, she mixes fragile torchsong sensibilities and vaudeville eccentricity with the queer aesthetics and grand guignol of artists such as Tom Waits and Rufus Wainwright. Band on the Wall is delighted to welcome this seductive and enigmatic talent to our Manchester stage.
