  • Band on the Wall, Manchester
  • £6.00 Advan...

Band on the Wall has a long history presenting young bands, with the New Manchester Review and Showcase Well North of London both giving flourishing acts the opportunity to play at the venue. Any Dark Night continues this tradition, with the aim of helping young bands reach a new audience. Each night presents some of the region’s most promising new acts, and is just £6 in!

Making a return to the venue are The Buskers Sons, after impressing the crowd back in April. The group hail for Macclesfield, and are capable of crafting a slow burning rock groove, while having a pop and indie sensibility. Manchester’s four piece Kosmonauts have played band nights across the city, including a recent night at The Ruby Lounge, alongside other local indie and rock bands. Liverpool’s The Isrights come to Manchester for the night having played shows at 02 Academy Liverpool and the Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon. Another four piece, they bost a pacier sound than the other acts on the bill, more akin to a post-punk style but once again retaining a sensibility of modern indie.

The Picturehouse Cafe Bar is open beforehand for delicious food and drinks.
