An integral part of the new British folk explosion, drawing comparisons to Mulford & Sons, we are delighted to invite ahab to Band on the Wall. With their gorgeous melodies, soaring harmonies and masterful songwriting this is the band we are truly excited about.

They were an instant hit at last year’s Fairport’s Cropredy Convention festival and whilst there caught the ear and eye of Bob Harris who immediately booked them for a session on his Saturday night show. Simon Mayo and several other Radio 2 notables have also become fans as a consequence. A debut EP was released late last year followed by two download singles, and an extensive UK tour of small venues to build profile followed the Bob Harris session in February and March. Their music is best described as alt country folk rock with an indie edginess. Their sound is fresh, lively and combines instrumental virtuosity and richly layered four-part vocal harmonies.
The summer saw ahab playing at many of the UKs favourite festivals including Wychwood, Beverley, Larmer Tree, Standon Calling and Secret Garden Party, Beautiful Days amongst many others.
