Band on the Wall presents a series of free entry gigs and DJ sets on our second stage, located to the rear of our brand new bar. We’ll be shining a light on our favourite emerging artists across all genres with a diverse programme of global sounds from, and inspired by, the music of cultures from around the world.

glue70
Manchester’s own Conor Miller (glue70) is poised to become the soundtrack to modern life: a historically DIY approach has already garnered him tens of millions of streams, high-profile industry attention, and a loyal online following. Through improvisation, silken vocals and loop-based music creation, glue70’s deceptively minimal sound flits from house to hip-hop and jazz to disco in inimitably chill fashion. Lean in and turn it up – you’re listening to the future.

Mangetout
Mangetout is a multi-instrumentalist producer and DJ whose sound combines sweeping synths, dreamy vocals, driving bass lines and slick drum grooves. Having only started in early 2022, Mangetout’s summer includes Parklife Festival and the release of his first EP, which sees him amalgamating his electronic pop sound with his love of underground house music.

Ad Hoc Records
Ad Hoc Records exists to celebrate music, not genres. With ever-broadening sonic horizons, ours is a home for music with soul.

Ad Hoc Records’ was established in 2017 with a mission to showcase the most exciting electronic music producers and DJs its founder Dave Burch had met in Manchester’s music scene to an international audience.

In its first four years, music from the label has been stocked in record stores as far afield as Japan and Australia, featured on Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists and spun on the likes of BBC Radio 1/1Xtra/6 Music, NTS and Worldwide FM.

The label has a monthly radio show on Reform Radio, and during lockdown hosted a showcase on the ‘United We Stream’ platform. As well as promoting parties in Manchester institutions Hidden, Night & Day and YES, they’ve also hosted label events in venues such as corner shops and canal boats.
