Hailed by BBC 6Music’s Tom Ravenscroft as ‘one of his favourite discoveries of the year’, Songs For Walter is the musical guise of Manchester song writer Laurie Hulme. Using stories from his family history as creative muse, Laurie creates songs which are disarmingly poignant and relentlessly melodic, whilst retaining an honesty and simplicity which render them immediately engaging.
Support for this gig comes from exceptional harpist and vocalist Quincey May Brown, Local guitar tutor and virtuoso Noel Maher and wonderful singer Holly Quin Ankrah.
And don’t forget, as always, there will be delicious food prepared fresh on the night by Spice Master Giles, as well as great local cask ales from our sponsor, Green Mill Brewery.
