Acoustic Bhuna ft. Ghost Trains, George Fell & Rachel Rimmer

  • Sunday | 26.10.14
  • 5.00pm
  • Band on the Wall, Manchester

Acoustic Bhuna is Band On The Wall’s acoustic showcase evening, playing host to some of the very best acoustic music that the North West has to offer.

Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, between 6 and 10pm, you will be able to see three of the regions finest acts playing for FREE in the cosy setting of Band On The Wall’s Picturehouse Cafe-Bar.

Independent in every sense of the word, Ghost Trains are currently riding a wave of creativity, with a new single out soon and a highly anticipated 5th album to follow in the new year. Front man and songwriter Tim Ellis’s lyrics are thoughtful, his delivery direct yet subtle and the acoustic guitar melodies are executed so masterfully that they are truly worthy of getting lost within.

George Fell is an immensely talented young fingerstyle guitarist from Manchester, whose accomplished folk-infused arrangements would not sound out of place alongside the likes of Martin Simpson. A recent member of the DJ Yoda ‘Breakfast Of Champions’ ensemble at Band On The Wall, George’s playing as as versatile as it is precocious. A must for any fans of instrumental guitar music.

Rachel Rimmer is a hugely talented young singer-songwriter based in Manchester. With a crystal-clear voice and accomplished, blues-tinged guitar style, Rachel’s solo material is already winning her lots of fans on the Manchester acoustic scene.

Doors open at 5pm. FREE ENTRY.

As a perfect accompaniment to the live music, you can tuck into one of Chef Giles’ fresh, home made curries, made with locally sourced ingredients and a whole lot of love. And why not wash it all down with a refreshing pint of cask ale from our sponsors, Green Mill Brewery?
