Brìghde Chaimbeul – Monday 22 September – Band on the Wall | Tickets
Brìghde Chaimbeul is one of the most exciting musical minds in the world of Celtic folk today. She’s a master of the Scottish smallpipes – the bellows-blown, mellower and more emotive cousin to the famous Great Highland bagpipes – and she’s taken them to the global stage.

Malin Lewis – Tuesday 23 September – The Copper Bar | Tickets
Innovator, award winning, multi-instrumentalist Malin Lewis melds Scottish West coast tradition with a newly invented, self-made bagpipe alongside acclaimed Scandinavian Låtmandola player Marit Fält. Together they weave hair tingling, philosophical and dance inducing melodies with European folk traditions, queerness and the universe.

Cerys Hafana – Wednesday 8 October – The Copper Bar | Tickets
Cerys Hafana is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who mangles, mutates, and transforms traditional music. She explores the creative possibilities and unique qualities of the triple harp, and is also interested in found sounds, archival materials and electronic processing. She comes from Machynlleth, Wales, where rivers and roads meet on the way to the sea.

El Pony Pisador is a lively and unique band from Barcelona, known for an eclectic blend of musical styles and humorous, adventurous spirit. From their native Catalan songs and dances to Celtic and Mediterranean tunes, yodelling, Tuvan throat singing, to even Georgian polyphony or Balkan polyrhythms.

Hailing from Kyiv, Ukraine, the quartet began as a traditional Ukrainian folk band, before incorporating sounds from the wider world into their music. Experimentation soon followed as they explored – and then embraced – traditional instrumentation from around the world. Reflecting fundamental elements of sound and soul, the self-described “ethnic chaos” band create a world of unexpected new music.

Tara Maclean – Saturday 04 October – The Copper Bar | Tickets
Canadian singer/songwriter Tara MacLean has been an internationally renowned and award winning recording and touring music artist for over 25 years. Last year, Tara received the Stompin’ Tom award by the East Coast Music Association, marking an outstanding contribution to music in the region.

Legendary Irish folk music band Dervish, are one of Ireland’s best known traditional bands and are described by the BBC as “an icon of Irish music”. Dervish received a prestigious lifetime achievement award from the BBC in 2019, a fitting tribute to the band after over 30 years of recording and performing all over the world, playing at festivals from Rio to Glastonbury.
