Opportunity: Workshop Leader (World of Music Learning Programme)

After a recent refurbishment, Band on the Wall has launched its new learning programme – World of Music. As part of this programme, we host a weekly folk and international music workshop for young people aged 8 to 16 on Saturday mornings from 9.30am – 12.00pm.

Young people have an opportunity to explore playing instruments, sing, dance, and meet professional musicians from many cultures. They develop their skills through lessons in playing violin, ukulele, keyboard and tin whistle whilst learning to play in an ensemble.

We are looking for workshop leaders to join our team of facilitators to deliver the programme. We offer our freelance workshop leaders a fee of £50.50 per hour. We are welcoming interest from any specialism, but in particular are keen to hear from educators who teach piano/woodwind/ percussion. The ideal candidate will also hold an enhanced DBS check and have experience of working with young people.

Please email learning@bandonthewall.org to express your interest in the role and learn more about the opportunity.

Closing Date: 20th July 2022.
