TALVIN SINGH – BUY TICKETS

Percussionist, producer and composer Talvin Singh, is renowned for creating the bridge between Indian and electronic music. Drawing Inspiration from the classical Indian arts, he has managed to sculpt a unique sonic landscape.

Singh’s synthesis of electronic music and eastern aesthetic, is often referred to as Asian Underground, one of the most exciting movements in the history of British music.

RAHEEL KHAN (DJ Set) – FREE ENTRY (IN THE BAR)

Raheel Khan is a musician and artist based between Manchester, Nottingham and London. Raheel has performed at Glastonbury, BBC Maida Vale and EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney). His productions have seen releases with Leeds based record label, ‘Reel Long Overdub’ and Manchester based record label ‘Banana Hill’ as well as radio broadcasts on NTS, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Asian network.

Tonight we’re celebrating Tales From Other Worlds! A display of emerging and upcoming talent and artists studying at BIMM Manchester. This is the first installation of a multitude of different genres and hand-picked talents with narratives and stories to showcase and tell.

Inner City Waves returns! Band on the Wall’s free-entry showcase of some of our favourite local emerging urban artists takes over our brand new bar stage with a roster of future-facing young artists spanning hip-hop, future soul, curated by Berry Blacc.

Headed by Snarky Puppy’s multi Grammy–winning percussion duo of Robert Sput Searight and Nate Werth, Ghost-Note is an explosion of sound. With an expansive roster of next-level musicians—representing members of Prince, Snoop Dogg, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, Marcus Miller, Toto, Justin Timberlake, and more—the band is pushing funk music into the future, building on the uplifting, pioneering foundations laid out by the likes of James Brown and Sly & The Family Stone and infusing their fresh take with tastes of afrobeat, hip-hop, psychedelia, world folklore, and more.
