World of Music Journeys – Our New Saturday Kids Music Club

Music is good for everyone! Enrol your child in our Saturday music club, and they’ll join us on fun and inclusive music learning journey from the Caribbean to South Asia, from Africa to Britain. No previous skills are needed, and with a focus on heritage and folk music from different traditions, they will learn to play instruments, to sing in harmony, and to dance! They will also have the opportunity to work towards an Art Award.

Every child will be lent an instrument with no charge for the duration of their time with the programme. This might be a violin, a set of tabla, or any instrument that they experience during the workshops which they would like to have a go at! They can take this instrument home with them to practise between workshops.

In the first 6 weeks, we’ll be hosting steel pan workshops, and your child will learn to play the penny whistle.

The safety and wellbeing of our participants is paramount, and we are following very clear coronavirus protocols. For a copy of our Covid-19 Precautions & Guidelines, do not hesitate to get in touch.

The Nation Youth Agency confirms that despite the change to social gathering restrictions by gov, NYA Guidance remains at Amber level because youth sector activity is now classified as an essential service. All activities COVID secure to NYA guidance standards may continue.

We have very limited spaces, and children have to register in advance, so sign up now. Suitable for Ages 8-12
