Band on the Wall x Manchester Jazz Festival 2020

Band on the Wall are proud to announce a stunning programme of events with the Manchester Jazz Festival in May 2020, hosting a variety of matinée and evening shows within our venue, and a special one-off performance at the Royal Northern College of Music. We’ll be presenting live performances from the likes of folk-hop 7-piece Honeyfeet, afro-jazz groove drivers Nubiyan Twist, soulful Cameroonian singer Blick Bassy, acid jazz legends James Taylor Quartet and formidable singer-songwriter Kirsty Almeida.

Manchester Jazz Festival at Band on the Wall continues with Nubiyan Twist, a blend of virtuosic players, skilled producers and inspired composers who have join forces to create a unique, infectious sound drawing on jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat, latin, soul, reggae and dance music.

Kirsty Almeida: Moonbird ft the Cherry Tree Strings (Matinée Show), Sun May 24th

The formidable singer-songwriter and force of nature Kirsty Almeida returns to the stage. Kirsty makes a welcome comeback with her strongest album to date and a highly personal reflection on life, love and dreams.
