Singer, songwriter and actress Fatoumata Diawara announces her biggest UK tour yet for January and February 2020, taking in eight shows across the country.

One of the most vital female voices of African music, Fatoumata Diawara returns to the UK to showcase her critically-acclaimed second studio album ‘Fenfo’.
Born in the Ivory Coast to Malian parents, Fatoumata now resides in France and first rose to prominence with her 2011 debut studio album ‘Fatou’. Following the release of ‘Fatou’, Diawara collaborated and performed with a wide array of celebrated musicians such as Damon Albarn, Herbie Hancock, Rokia Traoré, Paul McCartney and most recently with electronic music duo Disclosure on their 2018 single ‘Ultimatum’, for which she was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
Fatoumata Diawara’s music spans the gamut of African styles, ancient and modern, incorporating desert blues, funk and afro-pop. Alongside her musical career, Diawara has established a successful career as an actress, including an acclaimed appearance in 2014´s Timbuktu (Le chagrin des oiseaux), which received both BAFTA and Academy Award nominations.
Fatoumata Diawara’s UK tour sees her perform shows in London, Glasgow, Kendal, Nottingham, Bristol, Brighton, Liverpool and Manchester with her full band.
