For anyone that’s new to music technology and wants to know what it’s all about, this introduction to the industry will help you get a really good grounding in professional music production.
If you’re looking to develop practical and technical skills in music recording and production, DJ skills and using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), then this Level 2 Extended Certificate is perfect for you.
This qualification will help you explore the music industry and develop your own skills as a musician. You will work on developing as an individual performer on your chosen instrument or voice as well as learning key skills for working as part of a band. Alongside practical work, you will also explore music theory and learn how to create original music using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
This course is for students who want to develop their skills as singers or instrumentalists. Working in bands, you will explore a range of musical styles and give regular performances at a range of locations including the iconic Manchester venue, Band on the Wall with which the department has an educational partnership. You will also develop skills in creating original music using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and learn about how the music industry functions and operates.
This course will allow you to develop skills in music recording, Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) production and music creation and composition. You will also have the opportunity to choose between developing live sound skills or DJ skills and will plan, market and deliver a live music event as a group at Band on the Wall.
