Unloved release ‘Heartbreak Remixes’ featuring contributions from Jane Weaver and The Limiñanas

Unloved, the ensemble consisting of composer and producer Keefus Ciancia, his partner and lead vocalist Jade Vincent, and musician David Holmes, have released a collection of remixes for material from their 2019 LP Heartbreak.

The five-track EP sees Andy Votel (Finders Keepers records) and solo artist Jane Weaver tackling the devilishly brooding track Lee, while renowned DJ Andy Weatherall and rock duo The Limiñanas put their spin on Devil’s Angels.

The band members all have ties to film projects: Ciancia and Holmes having scored numerous films independently and Vincent having sung on a T Bone Burnett song selected for Martin Scorsese’s The Soul Of A Man, but it was their contribution as Unloved to the hit TV series Killing Eve that put the band’s music before a wide-reaching captive audience, for the first time.

With a BAFTA television awards nomination recently announced for their contributions to the series – it’s clear that the band’s appreciation for European music and exceptional ability as producers, have given them an ability to craft music as suited to the screen as it is the rock club or festival stage. Holmes recently discussed the serendipitous pairing of Unloved’s music and Killing Eve’s visuals with 6Music, who made Heartbreak their album of the day back in February.

We’re extremely excited for the band to play at Band on the Wall — the very same night that they may secure that BAFTA — Sunday 12th May 2019.
