Diving Station release new single, You’re Not Listening

Following the recent announcement of their sophomore EP, Feather Mouth, Manchester-based dream pop outfit Diving Station have released the single You’re Not Listening. A song inspired by Dada poetry techniques, it addresses the cyclical, nonsensical nature of arguments and asks whether it is ever truly possible to portray our feelings verbally. The song’s striking dynamic shifts and beautiful, vocal passages, alternating at points between lead vocalist Anna McLuckie and drummer/vocalist Barnabas Kimberley, give the song depth and intimacy. As the band explain, the composition, ‘jumps from aggression to confusion to hurt and then back around again in a heady, shoegaze-inspired drawl.’

To coincide with the single release, the band have announced Leeds-based trio Caro as the support act for their single launch at Gullivers on 4th December. Both groups work closely with producer and mix engineer Hugo Meredith-Hardy, who helps to ensure that their recorded material fulfils its potential.
