Band on the Wall’s February Film Festival returns

Band on the Wall’s February Film Festival is back from 18th February, with four outstanding films, handpicked for their killer soundtracks!

We kick the festival off with Damien Chazelle’s exhilarating music school drama Whiplash on Sunday 18th February. Whiplash premiered at 2014 Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews, going on to scoop five nominations and three awards at the Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actor for J.K. Simmons, who plays a ruthless jazz teacher, hell-bent on finding the right ‘tempo’.

Next up, on Monday 19th February, the stunning Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line. Starring Joaquin Phoenix as Cash and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter, Walk the Line chronicles the incredible life of country music icon Johnny Cash, including his romance with Carter, ascent to the top of the American music industry and more.

Finally, we get weird with a double bill of adored American comedies Wayne’s World 1 & 2 on Sunday 25th February! Join Mike Myers and Dana Carvey as they attempt to break in to the world of show business, twice! Schwing!

Watch the trailers for each film by clicking the film titles on the left.

Tickets are just £3 in advance for Whiplash and Walk the Line and £4 for Wayne’s World 1 & 2 and are available online and on the door.
