Next week is Independent Venue Week, a seven-day celebration of independent music venues UK-wide, and we’re excited to be involved, with four excellent events during the week, showcasing what the venue has to offer all year round.

Describe by Drowned in Sound as ‘Record Store Day for venues’, the week utilises funding from Arts Council England to celebrate independent venues and their diverse programmes, ranging from those that hosting up-and-coming talent to international touring artists. In the words of IVW, ‘These venues are the backbone of the live music scene in this country and Independent Venue Week wants to recognise all that they have done to create some of the most memorable nights of the past so they can continue to do the same in the future’.
