Nominees for the 59th Annual Grammy awards have been announced and we’re thrilled to see several artists with Band on the Wall ties being recognised for their work over the past year.
Terrace Martin and KING, who played outstanding shows here last month, have been nominated for best album in the R&B and urban contemporary categories respectively, while De La Soul and Snarky Puppy, who we welcome for a show at the Albert Hall in March and for a UK tour in May respectively, are recognised in the rap and contemporary instrumental categories for their 2016 studio albums.
Other nominees include Lalah Hathaway, whose remarkable vocal talents have earned her nominations in the categories of Best traditional R&B performance and Best R&B album and Judy Collins, who is recognised in the Best Folk album category for her joint effort with songwriter Ari Hest.
