Billy Bragg & Joe Henry are to release an album dedicated to the Great American Railroad, containing renditions of songs from the folk, blues and country music canon. The album, scheduled for release in late September, precedes the duo heading on a UK tour, and as Bragg tells Rolling Stone, “we want people to listen to this record and be with us on the journey”.
Songs on the album include Hank Williams’ Lonesome Whistle, and traditional numbers like John Henry and KC Moan.
