Singer-songwriters Vanessa Carlton and Lera Lynn both release new albums today. Vanessa Carlton’s Liberman, initially released in the US last year, has been praised for it’s dream-pop experimentation, and the dark Americana of Lynn’s Resistor has equally caught the imagination of critics.
Carlton worked in collaboration with producer Steve Osborne at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios to produce Liberman, and recently released a remix which the two had worked on, as a single. Lynn co-produced her album with Nashville based musician Joshua Grange, and presents a collection of songs that show her diverse songwriting ability, away from her contributions to the music for True Detective.
