Brighter Sound presents a brand new five week Ableton Live studio course at Band on the Wall for autumn 2015. One to one bespoke tuition for entry level and intermediate users of this amazingly versatile and accessible music production software in the great surroundings of the Band on the Wall recording studio.
Ableton Live is the music software package for composition, songwriting, recording, production, beat-making, remixing and live performance.
This course offers great value for money. It is completely bespoke – catering to your knowledge, experience and the kind of music you want to make. Sessions take place in the authentic professional working environment of the Band on the Wall Studio.
Whether you are completely new to the world of computer music, or are looking to take that next step towards professional output – these one-to-one sessions with Producer / DJ Mike Richardson, are an ideal opportunity to receive professional and personalised assistance, using Ableton Live.

Each session will respond to individual needs, but could for instance look at:
- Working with single-hit and loop samples
- Working with computer synthesisers
- Working with midi controllers
- Creating your own track from scratch
- Recording live instruments to use with your productions
- Sound processing, including EQ, Compression & FX
- Arranging your track
- Mixing and remixing
- DJing with Ableton
Bring along your own laptop with your own material to work on or create something new on the equipment in the professional sound recording studio at Band on the Wall.
The last six years have been a busy time for Mike. Starting out on the internet radio station ‘Unity Radio’ in Manchester, he is now gigging all over the UK and overseas, along with releasing his own productions and remixes on a variety of labels; his last release – ‘Stubborn’ on the Sex Panda White label receiving rave reviews. Mike has been back in the studio over the past few months and is currently putting the final touches to his next EP which will be out very soon.
