Band on the Wall present a Manchester Jazz Festival afterparty, bringing two of the most exciting bands of the festival together for a late night party, with the fantastic Matt Halsall DJing till late.
Kalakuta
Drawing their inspiration and energy from the golden age of the Nigerian, Ghanian and Ethiopian dance-floors of the 1970’s, this group of up-and-coming young musicians defies anyone to stay sat down for one of their high-octane (often pretty sweaty) live shows!
Expect punchy horns, choppy guitars and wailing organs, all underpinned by a groove that will keep your feet moving all night!
Glowrogues
A new band of rising stars from Manchester and Birmingham, playing funk and hip-hop flavoured pieces by Molyneux, using electronics to manipulate the horn section sound, creating an experimental edge. Uplifting and energetic.
