As the guitarist for pop-metal band Danger Danger, Andy Timmons toured the world, opening for Kiss and Alice Cooper, and sold over a million records worldwide. He had 2 #1 videos on MTV and amassed a discography that includes 7 solo releases that range from blazing guitar instrumentals, to blues, and even a Beatles/Elvis Costello-inspired collection of pop tunes. As a sought after session player, Timmons has accompanied the likes of Paula Abdul and Paul Stanley as well as playing alongside many of his personal music heroes like Ted Nugent, Steve Vai and the Beach Boys.
His training in classical and jazz styles has shaped the way he plays, and allowed him to work with artists in various music styles. With the Andy Timmons Band, he recently recorded his homage to the Beatles Sgt. Pepper album, with the trio reworking The Beatles’ legendary compositions to show their versatility while still retaining the excellent melodies. As a recipient of the Dallas Observer Music Award four years in a row, it’s clear Andy Timmons is an exceptional musician, held in high regard by all in the guitar world.
