XFM’s monthly live show and club night is back featuring the live sets from XFM ones to watch and an all-killer, no-filler indie disco courtesy of XFM presenters Jo and Hattie Pearson.
Songwriting comes first with Gramotones. Their music contains well thought out lyrics and melodies and a variety of influences from to Elvis Costello to The Band to The Clash. Last year saw them support The Family Rain, Findlay, Steve Cradock, Tim Burgess, Ian Skelly (The Coral) and Reverend and The Makers. Mentioned by Paul Weller in MOJO magazine alongside Laura Marling, Jagwar Ma, Arctic Monkeys and David Bowie in his list of favourite music of 2013, the band then went on to support Paul Weller on his European and UK tour.
2014 is set up to be a big year for Gramotones!
Neon Waltz are a powerful 6 piece psychedelic indie rock band who write & play their melodic, sun-drenched, sonic soundscapes in a remote croft, located in the wilderness of Caithness, Scotland.
After the bands, XFM DJs Jo Good and Hattie Pearson will take you into the wee small hours with a free entry indie disco. From game-changing classic anthems to new talent such as The Vaccines, Jake Bugg and Foals, you’re guaranteed to be dancing to the very best rock, indie and alternative music spanning both time and genre.
