On Saturday 8th June acclaimed Afro Salsa night Ragtag returns to Band on the Wall for a night of live global music featuring the incredible Wara and Jali Nyonkoling live plus DJs and we’ve got tickets to win!
The young revolutionaries of the UK Latin scene headlining the night are Wara – a brilliant nine piece band of musical virtuosos who’ve been packing dancefloors and starting parties on the global scene for the last two years (last year they played Glastonbury, The Big Chill Festival, Secret Garden Party, Barbican’s Blaze Festival, The Roundhouse, Ronnie Scott’s to name a few). Expect this sensational band to tear the roof down as they party up the dancefloor!
Also on the live bill is Mali’s Nyonkoling Kuyateh – a traditional African performer, known in West Africa as a griot. Often seen performing in outdoor spaces around Manchester, this entrancing artist is simply thrilling live.
Followed by DJs Irfan Rainy, Lubi J and Danuka taking the global beats into the early hours at hat promises to be a wonderful, good vibe night of fantastic music.
