Seckou Keita is a Senegalese virtuoso master of the Kora – Africa’s magical 21-stringed harp that is simultaneously percussive and melodic and requires incredible musical skills to play. One of the leaders of the newest generation of African traditional musicians and a member of Senegal’s royal Keita dynasty, he fuses the traditional forms and instruments with those of other cultures. He has performed all over the world with some of biggest names in global music including support slots with Salif Keita and Youssou N’Dour and as drummer for Baka Beyond. Join us at Band on the Wall for what promises to be a fantastic event.
