The first episode of Band on the Wall TV’s coverage of the We Face Forward Festival is now on the The Space – the new digital arts platform created by Arts Council England and the BBC as an innovative new way of accessing arts & culture.
Covering the music highlights of this summer’s We Face Forward season of West African Art & Music, this first programme covers Cuban/Malian supergroup AfroCubism. Featuring concert footage and a rare interview with the main members of the band, presenter Ellie Pollock unearths how the band was born out of the multi-million selling Buena Vista Social Club.
