Band on the Wall at Piccadilly Big Top Bar this Christmas!

From 9th December – 3rd January Piccadilly Gardens hosts a festive Big Top Bar and Band on the Wall is providing the free live music! The Piccadilly Big Top Bar is part of the Piccadilly Gardens Family Fair and the wider Manchester’s Magical Christmas celebrations.  The family friendly bar, operated by popular Manchester bar group KRO, opens on the 9th December and will run until January 3rd from 11am to 10pm each day, except Christmas Day when the bar is closed.  The bar will be serving traditional Robinson’s ales, Kaiserdom lagers, mulled wines and a range of special hot winter cocktails, as well as an extensive range of soft drinks, cakes, coffees and hot chocolate.  The Piccadilly Big Top Bar will also offer
visitors an array of live entertainment from Band on the Wall every Thursday, Friday and Saturday leading up to Christmas.

La Tinto Bros
Latin

La Tinto Bros play a variety of styles from chilled Latin Jazz to vibrant uptempo Salsa Party tunes. In their repertoire, they have the sounds of the most popular Latin American music and many rhythms like Bossa Nova, Son, Cha Cha Cha, Boogaloo, Salsa, Merengue and more.

Saturday 11th December, 6pm
T & Latouche
Reggae

Rockin’ Roots and Rhythm – T& Latouche present a unique and fresh reggae sound combining pumping basslines and driving rhythms with strong melody, sweet harmony, bubbling guitars and blistering brass hooks. Appearing with an all live six piece band.

Diaspora
Salsa

Diaspora takes you on a musical journey to the sizzling, scorching sounds of Latin America and the Caribbean. With their vision to unite the rhythms of the Americas, their music is uplifting and inspiring – enjoy!

Serge Tebu
African

Serge Tebu’s music blends African melodies and grooves with jazz and Western harmony and is based on African storytelling on the themes of love, war and peace, conveying a bitter-sweet sense of melancholy balanced by irrepressible optimism.

Saturday 18th December, 6pm
Superfly
Motown/Soul

Superfly are a Soul/Disco/Pop band with a reputation for getting the dance floor moving at any occasion. They play a wide range of covers, from classic Motown hits of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin, through to Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys and Beyoncé.

Wednesday 22nd December, 6pm
Pocketful of Soul
R&B/Soul

The Pocketful of Soul Collective play everything from modern RnB/Neo-soul/Hip-Hop/Jazz/Funk to Old Skool Rhythm & Blues. It’s a fun and exciting night, starring a host of musicians from Manchester’s music scene, and featuring a number of guest artists.

Thursday 23rd December, 6pm
Glen Latouche
Jazz/Soul

Glen Latouche and his band began its early life as ‘Edward The Second and the Red Hot Polkas’ after forming in Cheltenham in 1984. Tonight they perform Jazz, Motown and Soul classics sprinkled with a mixture of originals.

Friday 24th December 4pm
Beleza
Brazilian

Beleza is a duo made up of vocals and guitar specialising in bossa nova, samba, and other Brazilian pop styles. Tonight they present an extensive repertoire including many classic Brazilian songs and original compositions.
