Beginner Guitar Classes Summer 2011

STILL AVAILABLE 4.30-5.15 ONLY.

Open to adults and young people over 16, a great new guitar course for beginners.

This course is a series of 8 x 45 minute lessons aimed at adults and older children* with little or no experience of playing guitar. The course is designed to provide the fundamentals of technique and elementary theory so that, after lesson 10, the student will be able to develop their guitar playing independently and with confidence. The course encompasses a core set of universal skills, whilst remaining flexible, to take into account students’ individual musical leanings.

Course tutor Adam Dubale says.. “I am an entirely self-taught guitar player and belive that, given an entry-level course of basic lessons such as this, I could have progressed the same amount in 8 weeks as I did in my first year. I believe that there is more satisfaction to be gained from the freedom of teaching yourself to play than spending years in formal lessons. This course provides students with an invaluable ‘push start’ into the wonderful world of guitar!”

Day: Fridays

Dates: May 27th, June 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, July 1st, 8th, 15th.

Times: 45 minute lessons from 4.30pm, 5.30pm, 6.30pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm 

* any child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
