Partisan formed in Manchester in early 2013 as a band passionate about their cause, which is to inject some authentic rock into the limelight and challenge the music scene with punchy, bold and unflinching rock anthems. Partisan have recently won the Band Category of a Nationwide Music Talent Competition called Brand New Artist 2015. Since forming Partisan, the band has recorded a three track EP at Oxygene Studios, Salford, and are continuing to forge ahead with future gigs planned for 2015.
The Kaptivators are a Manchester based collective who live for funk and rhythm. Their sound is an eclectic mix of Hip-Hop, Soul, Dub and Electro, which is uplifting, with its themes and social commentary forming part of their story. Born through a love of live music, they came together to make and share music for the soul.
Vocalist and songwriter Ellie Butler recently won a Nationwide Music Talent Competition called Brand New Artist 2015. The 25 year olds powerful vocals set her apart, and given that she has been performing with bands for 10 years, and is currently the lead vocalist with The Big Betty Band, shes had plenty of experience. Ellie’s long term aim is to write a credible album and is looking forward to working with other artists to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible.
Hailing from just outside Manchester, 18 year old Beth Nicholson is a Singer/Songwriter who aims to inspire and uplift her audience, with her tranquil voice, which lends itself to the soft tones of her songs. Beth started singing when 13 years old and realised this was her release from daily difficulties in today’s society. She learnt the guitar, piano and drums, continuing to self teach after a handful of lessons. Beth has started to write some of her own songs and looks forward to time in the studio, producing her own work for her fan base whom she loves.
