Manchester Jazz Festival features 9 days of the best and the newest in contemporary jazz from the North West, the UK and abroad. Unlike any other event on the jazz festival circuit, mjf offers a fascinating journey of discovery through the world of jazz today. The weird and the wonderful, the challenging and the relaxing, the surprising and the familiar – mjf is a prized collection of treasures that that is simply not available anywhere else.
A great celebration of Manchester’s native music scene, mjf also hand picks some of the hottest new international artists to debut in the UK. Highlights for 2012 include a jazzy Olympics, the ever in demand afternoon teas and more of mjf’s signature breakthrough bands plus premieres of specially composed new music.
