Band on the Wall Scores Hat Trick of Awards!

Band on The Wall has scored a hat trick as it picked up City Life Night Time Awardat 2010 Manchester Tourism Awards last night on the back of 2 of major awards in the last 2 weeks.

Band on the Wall was last night officially recognised as the best night spot in Manchester as chosen by a reader’s poll in City Life. The winners of the Manchester Tourism Awards 2010 were revealed last night in an impressive ceremony held at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.

The awards were hosted by actor, comedian and Band on the Wall patron John Thomson (pictured here with left to right Eamonn Holmes, Gavin Sharp, Mike Chadwick) and attracted an audience of the region’s most influential tourism representatives.

This follows on from a string of prizes that Band on the Wall has been awarded recently. Music Programmer Mike Chadwick has recently been awarded silver in theSony Awards for his radio work, board chair Kathy Dyson has been given aParliamentary Jazz Award for her education work while Band on the Wall’s website (along with acclaimed web developers Cahoona) has been nominated for a Big Chip Award for best website for a not-for-profit company.

“It’s incredible how after re-opening less than a year ago we have already been recognized as one of Manchester’s premier entertainment spots. This is a tribute to all the staff, musicians and most importantly the audience who make Band on the Wall special.” Gavin Sharp, CEO Inner City Music Ltd (Band on the Wall)
