A spectacular double bill. 2005 Mercury Music Prize Best Album nominees Polar Bear are an avant jazz quintet led by enigmatic drummer Seb Rochford (Acoustic Ladyland). They are part of a long tradition of drummer-led bands stretching back through Chick Webb to Art Blakey. The Profound Sound Trio are legends of the free jazz scene Paul Dunmall, bass player Henry Grimes and the extraordinary percussion of Andrew Cyrille.
