All courses are run by musicians, teachers and industry professionals alongside Band on the Wall’s Learning & Participation Officer, Tim Chatterton.

Picturehouse Choir: Jules Gibb

Jules is a vocal and singing workshop leader of over 20 years standing. She is a member of the Natural Voice Network and runs Adult and Children's Choirs which perform locally and nationally. She is part of the nationally acclaimed, Arts in Education Initiative, where she is the voice and song adviser, working with primary, secondary and advisory teachers from LEA's in the North West. Jules is also a Sing Up music leader and provides workshops and consultancy to local orchestras and theatres.

Jazz Improvisation: Munch Manship

Munch is a musician and educator of international standing. He has performed alongside many legendary players such as Ronnie Scott, Bobby Shew and Art Pepper and is in demand across the country as a performer and session musician. He has a commitment to learning through participation in group workshops and individual lessons and has been  running jazz workshops in Manchester and Bury for many years. 

Tap Rhythm Project: Jess Murray

Jessica Murray is the founding member of the Tap Rhythm Project which began in 2006. She has trained and performed in New York, Berlin and Barcelona and has been teaching rhythm tap in venues accross the North West since 2004 including the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, The Lowry Theatre and Band on the Wall, Manchester. Jess is a member ofAboutTime rhythm tap company and has performed as a solo and guest performer at street festivals, cabarets and concert venues such as London’s South Bank Purcel Rooms . She works collaboratively with artists ranging from jazz musicians to turntablists and is artistic director and choreographer for Company Hot Tap rhythm tap ensemble.
