Profound Sound Trio is the rather grand name for a brilliant improvising trio featuring Paul Dunmall on tenor and soprano saxophones, plus a little helping of bagpipes, Henry Grimes on double bass and occasional violin and Andrew Cyrille on drums. Originally formed in June 2008 for the prestigious Vision Festival in New York, the trio brings together a European giant of the free jazz scene in Paul Dunmall, with two major figures
of the New York scene.
