Projects Connecting People Through Music 

At Inner City Music, we believe music is a powerful way to bring people together. Alongside our live programme, learning activities and artist development work, we deliver a range of projects that create opportunities for people to share experiences, celebrate cultures and make new connections.

Working with artists, communities and partner organisations, our projects explore identity, heritage, belonging and wellbeing through creative collaboration. From supporting newly arrived communities to celebrating the stories and experiences of older people, we use music to spark creativity, build confidence and strengthen community connections.

Recent projects include World of Song, a programme developed with Community Arts Northwest that brings together people from different cultural backgrounds through singing, storytelling and heritage exploration, and Keep On Moving, which used music and dance to celebrate the experiences, memories and people across Greater Manchester.

These projects often result in new music, performances, films, exhibitions and digital resources, leaving a lasting legacy for participants and audiences alike.
