Mother Song, Father Song

Mother Song Father Song was a project that was part of our World of Song programme, bringing together people from diverse cultural backgrounds to share songs, stories and musical traditions connected to their heritage. Through regular workshops led by expert musicians and facilitators, participants explored themes of identity, migration, family and belonging, using music as a way to connect across cultures and generations. This documentary combines footage from the sessions with interviews from participants and tutors, capturing the relationships, creativity and cultural exchange that developed throughout the programme and celebrating the lasting impact of shared musical heritage.
