Horizons Festival 2025

Band on the Wall collaborated with Community Arts North West and HOME to be part of their annual Horizons Festival in 2025, bringing together artists and communities to celebrate the diverse cultural heritage that shapes Manchester today. 

Choosing the theme More in Common, the festival highlighted connections across cultures through performances, storytelling and workshops. Our Spotlight artists and Without Borders youth band were the lineup for a festival opening party, where music from Somali, Latin American, Iranian and other traditions filled the venue, reflecting the many voices that make up the city. 

This event created an opportunity to not only showcase heritage, but to experience it collectively through listening, participation and celebration. In doing so, it showed that heritage can be something dynamic and shared, rather than separate or fixed. Here are some photos from the event.
