 From first picking up a guitar as an 8 year-old in Dayton\, Ohio\, to making his name as a member of the legendary Sugarhill Records house band\, it&rsquo\;s been a long and twisting road for Little Axe and his raucous blues-based sound. He&rsquo\;s performed on some of the most influential rap classics\, and played with everyone from Grandmaster Flash and Lee &lsquo\;Scratch&rsquo\; Perry\, to Tackhead\, James Brown and Robert Plant. But the blues were always at the heart of his sound\, and these days Little Axe&rsquo\;s music explores the rich musical tradition he grew up with.
