DESCRIPTION:Born to a Puerto Rican/Native American and a Filipino father\, Nahko was adopted and raised in the suburbs of Portland\, Oregon. He began his musical journey at only 6 years old. He then travelled widely in his teens\, wrestling with identity\, purpose and perception.

He began busking and selling CDs from his guitar case\, before eventually landing a Billboard Heatseekers Top 10 album. With the intention of bridging the gap between different cultures\, he experiments within a multitude of genres - folk\, rock\, al-t R&B\, reggae and gospel\, to name a few - while always maintaining a socially conscious positivity. Backed by his band Medicine For The People\, he was able to headline an impressive array of live festivals\, before deciding to walk away from the corporate music industry in 2020.

Nahko emerged from a quiet three years in rural Oregon with his seventh studio album TRENCHES. It examines his relationship with himself and the outside world\, reflecting his open-hearted internal re-calibration.
