DESCRIPTION:María José Llergo is a standout voice in contemporary flamenco\, blending traditional roots with modern\, urban sounds. Born in rural Pozoblanco\, Córdoba\, her music is deeply emotional\, honoring flamenco tradition while embracing new\, innovative directions.

A graduate of the Catalonia School of Music\, she studied under José Miguel “Chiqui” Vizcaya\, a grand master of flamenco\, known for having mentored Rosalía. Establishing her status as a national flamenco icon\, she has also starred in a Loewe campaign alongside Rossy De Palma\,  Her latest album\, Ultrabelleza\, was selected by Rolling Stone as one of the 50 best Spanish-language albums of 2023\, and has  recorded sessions with COLORS and Tiny Desk.
