DESCRIPTION:Learn to find your voice as an improviser in a supportive and inspiring atmosphere and work collaboratively on pieces you have devised.&nbsp\;For young instrumentalists and singers aged 8-18. Learn and improve improvisation techniques\; play music by ear\; develop aural and creative skills\; learn about how jazz music ‘works’\; play in small groups and learn&nbsp\;with players of a similar standard and age. This structured and hands on programme will have something for everyone.&nbsp\;Led by leading Jazz educators Kathy Dyson\, Les Chisnall and Helena Summerfield and supported by some of Manchester's finest young Jazz musicians. This regular monthly Sunday afternoon jazz education programme will include regular opportunities for young people to “jam” together in the Picturehouse at Band on the Wall after the session.
