 Band on the Wall is delighted to welcome the man who is affectionately called the Godfather of Jazz Funk to its stage. Perhaps best known for his 1974 jazz funk classic&nbsp\;Expansions\, keyboardist&nbsp\;Lonnie Liston Smith&nbsp\;has played with some of the mightiest artists of our times including&nbsp\;Miles Davis\,&nbsp\;Pharoah Sanders\,&nbsp\;Art Blakey\,&nbsp\;Marvin Gaye&nbsp\;and countless others. Since emerging from the 60s free jazz scene\, Smith has successfully created his own fusion style incorporating jazz\, funk and soul.
 
 
 
 While Smith continues to tour\, performing a great set at Glastonbury in 2009\, this is a ultra rare opportunity to see him live in Manchester at Band on the Wall.&nbsp\;
 
 
 
 
 This concert will begin at 8pm. Picturehouse Cafe Bar open from 5.30pm for delicious meals and drinks.
