 We now offer TWO Thursday Jazz Foundations sessions. Please note new times.&nbsp\;
 Under the direction of saxophone legend Munch Manship Band on the Wall's long running and popular jazz group continues it's exploration of the jazz repertoire for another ten sessions plus a full evening performance on Sunday 23rd March 2014 at the Jazz Lounge in the Cinnamon Club\, Bowdon.
 Jazz Foundations offers a chance to blow through and rehearse new arrangements of great compositions in a mixture of jazz styles from Miles Davis and Ornette Coleman to Tom Harrell\, Stan Kenton and Benny Carter. Our specially devised and arranged charts are adapted to suit any instrumentation and offer solo opportunities for all the group. Sessions take place in a friendly and supportive atmosphere in the Education Room above the Main Venue at Band on the Wall. New members welcome\,&nbsp\;all ages*\, especially low brass players. Some reading skills are necessary for horn players and keyboards and would be useful (but not essential) for bass\, guitar and drums.
 Please note that we provide a drum kit\, a keyboard and a vocal mic with small PA. Rhythm section players (bass\, drums\, keys) may be required to play alternate numbers if the group has more than one of each subscribed.
 A 9 week course of rehearsals plus a performance.

SUMMARY:Jazz Foundations at Band on the Wall led by saxophone legend Munch Manship. For intermediate to advanced horn and rhythm section players. Play specially arranged classic Jazz repertoire and work on solo 'chops' in a ten week programme of weekly sessions including performance.
