DESCRIPTION:NEW series of 5 sessions. Get children&nbsp\;started on the road to learning instruments and&nbsp\;making music together and with their&nbsp\;parents. This exciting new project from Brighter Sound&nbsp\;gives children aged between 4 and 8 years the chance to develop and build fundamental and creative&nbsp\;musical skills in a non-formal and accessible&nbsp\;way.&nbsp\;DQUOTEReally impressed with how all kids were included. My sons were singing the 'We're here at Band on the Wall' song just yesterday and had remembered the tune and words.DQUOTE *Every child (and accompanying parent) will learn simple songwriting techniques\,&nbsp\;some basics on a new instrument\,&nbsp\;build rhythmic skills on percussion instruments and share their new music&nbsp\;together as a group. Each week the activities&nbsp\;will take place in whole group and small group sessions with expert tuition and&nbsp\;active parental involvement encouraged throughout.DQUOTEIt is the close contact with real musicians in a very relaxed and playful atmosphere that engages my son.DQUOTE *Junior Jam is a 5 session mini course which is designed to give children the opportunity to learn\, progress and embed their musical skills&nbsp\;over 5 weeks of structured activity. SUMMARY:A new way for children and parents to make music together at Band on the Wall. Write songs\, learn new instruments\, play drums and have some fun doing it. Beth Bishop leads a new strand of work from Brighter Sound with expert guidance and support from instrumental and percussion tutors Mat Walklate and Andy Boothman. This term we will be learning to play the harmonica and ukulele\, make up songs\, put a beat to it on percussion and perform.
