DESCRIPTION:The Funky Knuckles are a Dallas based jazz-funk fusion band. The inevitable result of a talent-soaked soul and jazz community\, they are taking the sound of Dallas to an entirely different level. Individually\, the band members have worked with some of the most respected acts in the world – including Beyonce\, Erykah Badu\, Chrisette Michelle\, Taleb Kweli\, P. Diddy – yet together they possesses a sound distinctly separate from any of their individual projects. Always stretching the boundaries of improvisation and composition\, they draw from each member’s musical experiences to create their unique genre-bending sound.
 
 They are joined by guitarist\, composer\, and Snarky Puppy member\, Mark Lettieri. Proficient in a multitude of styles\, aside from Snarky Puppy\, Lettieri has worked with artists including Erykah Badu\, Tamela Mann\, Anthony Evans\, Chrisette Michele\, Myron Butler\, N’iambi\, Bilal and even Pat Boone. His third solo release\, titled “ Park and Echo” will be release worldwide on Ropeadope Records on 20th May 2016. It features ten new songs and incredible playing by the likes of Wes Stephenson\, Jason “JTDQUOTE Thomas\, Shaun Martin\, Bobby Sparks\, and Milo Deering.
